Study of Scientific Collaborators' Scientific Effectiveness from The Perspective of Division of Labor

Situated in the increasingly fierce international scientific and technological competition and Seizing the opportunity for reforming domestic scientific and technological evaluation system, this project takes the division of labor and roles of scientific research as a start point to explore the phenomenon of division of labor, the evolving rule of scientific collaborating roles and the scientific effectiveness in scientific collaboration. We further explore the causal relationship between the role classification of scientific collaborators and their scientific effectiveness, to optimize the evaluation of scientific effectiveness of scientific collaborators, enhance the willingness of scientists to collaborate, and promote scientific collaboration. This project combines the theory of team effectiveness and the practice of scientific collaboration to build an indicator system of scientific effectiveness, evaluate the scientific effectiveness of scientific collaborators, and use the author ’s contribution statement in the scientific literature to build a co-contributorship network(constructed by the collaborators having completed tasks together in their teams), to detect the division of labor in scientific collaboration and the evolving rule of collaborating roles, and use causal analysis to measure the relationship between collaborating roles and the scientific effectiveness in scientific collaborations. This research can deeply understand the phenomenon of scientific collaboration, accurately assess the scientific effectiveness of scientific collaborators, and help to optimize the evaluating methods of scientific collaboration, establish a new type of scientific research evaluation system, and cultivate a good innovation environment.
